About

ACCS

Founded in 2013 by the Association for Cognitive Science (ACS), the Annual Conference of Cognitive Science (ACCS) has emerged as one of India’s foremost interdisciplinary platforms focused on exploring the workings of the human mind and brain. It brings together scholars, educators, and students from a wide range of disciplines, including cognitive psychology, neuroscience, computer science, linguistics, philosophy, and artificial intelligence, with the aim of encouraging integrative research and dialogue.

The conference is organized annually at distinguished institutions across India, offering a dynamic venue for showcasing contemporary research and fostering scholarly interaction. Its program typically comprises keynote addresses, oral and poster presentations, as well as specialized workshops, all designed to promote intellectual exchange and collaboration. The 12th edition (ACCS-12), convened at CBCS Allahabad in December 2025, featured contributions spanning areas such as memory and learning, human–computer interaction, computational approaches to cognition, language processing, decision sciences, and studies of consciousness. Looking ahead, the 13th Annual Conference of Cognitive Science (ACCS-13) is scheduled to take place at the Centre for Neural and Cognitive Sciences, School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad, from December 12 to 14, 2026.

Through its sustained efforts, ACCS plays a significant role in advancing cognitive science in India by cultivating interdisciplinary engagement and supporting the growth of research and education in the field.
